My Mother's Day creation in 2010 replicated a quilted look with pearl details. The cake was a champagne cake with champagne frosting and fresh strawberries. This is my favorite cake! The bubbles keep the cake so light! And champagne and strawberries are definitely a great combination.
For a wedding shower I made another Marimekko poppy cake. This one had golden poppies to match the invitation seen in the picture below.
